President Radev bestows distinctions on prominent men and women of culture

President Rumen Radev bestowed distinctions on prominent men and women of culture and public figures. The highest state distinction, Stara Planina was awarded to Prof. Hikmet Mehmedov, a prominent name in the modern history of Bulgarian ballet.

The Order of St. Cyril and Methodius was awarded to Prof. Adriana Blagoeva, choir conductor and lecturer at the National Academy of Music. Actors Mihail Petrov and Lyuben Chatalov also received the Order of St. Cyril and Methodius

“Humans are born to create, to love and to be loved. On behalf of the people honoured with this high distinction, I would like to say thank you from the bottom of my heart,” Prof. Mehmedov said at the award ceremony.
