Bulgaria reports 838 new infections in past day

During the last 24 hours, Bulgaria has registered 838 new cases of coronavirus from 15,453 tests performed, according to data from the Unified Information Portal. 5.4% of the tests returned a positive result. 78.5% of newly infected persons have not been vaccinated. The highest number of new cases is in Sofia - 293, in Varna - 74, and in Plovdiv - 52. 

There are currently 4,073 patients in hospital - 456 of them in intensive care units. Almost 86% of new 307 hospitalized patients have not been vaccinated. 
46 people died in the past day as over 91% of them were not immunized. 
The active cases number 98,339. 
Yesterday 1,623 doses of coronavirus vaccines were administered. 
1,897,946 people have completed immunization. 251,961 have also received a booster dose.
