Interior Minister Boyko Rashkov is to be called up for questioning by the Sofia City Prosecutor’s Office in a witness capacity in the money-laundering case connected with the construction of Hemus motorway, Desislava Petrova, spokesperson for the prosecutor’s office has announced.
Minister Rashkov will be summoned over statements he made in interviews for the Bulgarian National Radio and Bulgarian National TV, BNT, in which he made it clear that he has concrete information pertaining to the ways the money was transferred, where it is now and who received it.
“If Rashkov points to concrete individuals or companies, then there will be interrogations, house searches and confiscations of the money referred to by the Minister of Interior, of which there is evidence that it has been criminally acquired,” Desislava Petrova said.
