Bulgaria reports 162 Covid-related deaths in past day

3,449 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 36,449 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 9.5% of the tests have returned positive result. The country has reported a 4% increase in coronavirus incidence as compared to the previous day. 79.4% of the new cases of Covid-19 are among the unvaccinated.

There are 99,139 active cases. 4,071 patients are being treated in hospital, including 462 in intensive care units. 761 Covid-19 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 85.4% of the new hospitalizations are among the unvaccinated.

162 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past 24 hours. 150 of them were unvaccinated. 2,276 people have been reported cured.

19,901 vaccines were administered on Wednesday. There are 1,908,733 people with completed immunization. 265,194 have had a booster shot.
