“The predictions of more tourists, including foreigners, this winter season have come to pass and that is good news. There is significant interest in our resorts, and they are now full, there are no cancellations,” Rumen Draganov, Director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism said for the BNR. “We have people from the Britain, from Ireland, Greece, North Macedonia, and lots of Romanian tourists. Last year that was not so. We predicted a doubling of the number of tourists compared to last year, and at the moment that is how things are looking,” Rumen Draganov said. There is a very high occupancy rate of guest houses, of small family and corporate hotels.
