Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov has promised the five nationally representative employers' organizations in Bulgaria that the state would pay higher compensations to non-household consumers of electricity.

The Chairman of the Bulgarian Industrial Association Dobri Mitev and the President of the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association Vasil Velev told the media that a compensation cap amounting to 127.82 EUR per megawatt has been agreed for January. It will be funded by the exessive profits of the state energy companies. Vasil Velev reminded that the compensation for October and November 2021 amounted to EUR 56.24 and that the compensation for December will ammount to EUR 65.96 per megawatt.
