Sofia MENAR Film Festival starts

The 14th edition of the Sofia MENAR Film Festival opens tonight with the Palestinian film "Between Heaven and Earth" by director Najwa Najjar The festival introduces the Bulgarian audience to the culture and traditions of the Islamic world.

The audience will be able to see the best of feature, documentary and short films from the Middle East, Central Asia and North Africa, and traditionally included thematic events related to countries in the region, BNR Sofia has reported. The abbreviation MENAR comes from the name by which the countries of this region are defined as a whole - Middle East and North Africa Region.
