Two Bulgarian geologists will work on a research project in Antarctica. They are part of the second group of polar explorers in the 30th Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition.

All 11 Bulgarians in the group are healthy. They are waiting in a 10-day quarantine in the Chilean port of Punta Arenas. For the Bulgarian National Radio the geologists stated that in a suitable meteorological situation on January 20 they will fly to King George Island from where they will be transferred to the Spanish ship "Sarmiento de Camboa" to reach the Bulgarian base of Livingston Island.

The two geologists will spend several days in tents outside the base to assess the potential of the island's copper and gold minerals.
