Weather forecast for Friday, 21 January: Temperatures drop, there will be snow

On Friday a cold atmospheric front will sweep across the country. There will be snow over most of Bulgaria, in the valleys mingled with rain. In the afternoon the clouds will begin to disperse from the Northwest. Morning temperatures will range from 3° C. to 2° C. below zero, for Sofia around 1° C. below zero. Maximum temperatures will reach zero to 5° C., for Sofia around zero.

Over the mountains there will be snow. By evening the snow will stop and the clouds will scatter. There will be a moderate to strong Northwesterly wind. At an altitude of 1,200 m. daytime temperatures will reach 4° C. below zero, at 2,000 m. 9° C. below zero.

On Saturday the snow will continue over the Balkan Range, but temperatures will continue to drop.
