Bulgaria reports 9,874 daily Covid-19 infections, a positivity rate of 22.5%

9,874 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 infections in the country in the past day out of 43,800tests performed, a positivity rate of 22.5 %, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

5,164 patients are being treated in hospital, 547 of them in intensive care. 615 is the number of new hospital admissions, 84% of them are among the unvaccinated.

86 is the number of Covid-related deaths in the past day, 94% of them among the unvaccinated.

1,924 have been reported as recovered.

The highest number of new infections is in Sofia – 2,873,Plovdiv – 1,084, Varna – 636,Burgas -635 and Blagoevgrad – 593.   

13,541 doses of vaccine were administered in the past 24 hours. 1,975,203 is the number of people in the country now with a completed vaccination cycle. 565,2827 have had a booster shot.
