5,875 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 23,429 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data indicate. 25% of the tests have returned positive result. 76% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. The highest number of new infections was reported in Sofia-1,523, followed by Burgas-758 and Varna-643.
5,684 patients are being treated in hospital, as 513 of them are in intensive care units. More than 81% of the newly admitted patients are unvaccinated. 33 people with established coronavirus infection have died.
