New daily Covid-19 cases surge to 10,151, a positivity rate of 24%

10,151 is the number of newly registered coronavirus cases, out of 42,246 tests performed in the country in the past 24 hours, a positivity rate of 24%. 77% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.

244,233 is the number of active Covid-19 cases in the country, up by 4,913 from the previous day.

1,017 is the number of new hospital admissions, 88% of them among the unvaccinated.

5,705 patients are being treated in hospital, 506 of them in intensive care.

158 Covid-related deaths were reported in the country in the past day, 139 of them among the unvaccinated.

5,080 are reported as recovered.

7,975 doses of vaccine were administered on Monday. The number of people with a completed vaccination cycle is 1,996,484, up by 2,955 from the previous day.
