The Department of Tourism at the University of St. St. Cyril and Methodius in Veliko Tarnovo and the first online platform for suitable venues for events have united in a project to promote attractive places in Bulgaria for events of corporate, private or national nature, Veliko Tarnovo University announced. Events Guide will be a guide to the most interesting locations for events in the 8 tourist regions of Bulgaria, including the Burgas Black Sea, Rhodope, Rila-Pirin, Thracian region and others. The guide will be uploaded online in the spring in the only platform for finding venues for events Eventplus.bg.

Event tourism in Bulgaria, and in particular its narrower direction - congress and conference tourism, is poorly represented in the national and regional policy of the country. It is mainly associated with major cities such as Sofia, Plovdiv and Varna.
