2,181 new daily infections reported in Bulgaria, a positivity rate of 17%

2,181 is the number of coronavirus cases registered in the past day out of 12,838 tests performed in the country, a positivity rate of 17%. 

76.8% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show.  

259,523 is the number of active Covid-19 cases in Bulgaria, down by 106 on the previous day.

The number of new hospital admissions on Sunday is 215, 88.8% of them are among the unvaccinated. 6,238 Covid-19 patients are being treated in hospital, 593 of them in intensive care.

42 Covid-19 patients have died in the past day, 39 of them were not vaccinated. 2,245 is the number of recoveries reported.

1,629 doses of vaccine were administered on Sunday. 2,012,154 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country, 633,133 have taken a booster shot.
