After February 14, the Ministry of e-Government will publish a discussion document containing the technical specifications for developing a mobile application for e-identification. The Ministry of e-Government must coordinate with the Ministry of Interior before developing the application, Minister Bozhidar Bozhanov said.

The e-identification will be done through a mobile application. The authorities are discussing whether the application should be certified once via a QR code or with an electronic signature, with a fiscal or insurance code.
