President Radev: The biggest risk to Bulgaria’s security is in neglecting the problems of the army

“We are all hoping that a full-blown war will be avoided, there is no military solution to the Ukraine crisis,” President Rumen Radev stated in Sungurlare, where he is paying a visit for the day of Trifon Zarezan, the day of vine-growers and wine-makers.

The biggest risk to Bulgaria’s security is in neglecting the problems of the army, the Bulgarian President said and added that Bulgaria is ready to receive support from all NATO allies to make up for its deficits.

“As you know Bulgaria is part of the de-escalation efforts, but it is also part of the efforts to reinforce the Eastern flank of the Alliance. Bulgaria is a sovereign country, and a loyal member of NATO. These are the two fundamental principles which shape our position,” Rumen Radev said further.
