BSP disagrees with Prime Minister's position on Belene NPP

After the statements of Prime Minister Kiril Petkov for refusing to build the Belene NPP, the leadership of the Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) came up with a special position.

The BSP strictly adheres to the text of the adopted Agreement on Joint Governance in its part "Energy". It says: "The need to build new nuclear facilities, specify the type of reactors and sites, and make an assessment, after an independent expert analysis which is public and based on economic feasibility, of the lowest cost and time for construction."
"The text does not exclude the construction of the Belene NPP. We call on the coalition partners to adhere to the signed agreement," the BSP demanded.
