Bulgaria’s National Assembly has officially adopted the 2022 budget of the Health Insurance Fund. Slightly above EUR 3 billion were allocated to the Health Insurance Fund. The health insurance contribution remains 8% of the gross salary. A 10% tax will be levied on social expenditure, icluding meal vouchers, provided in kind to employees and persons employed under management and control contracts.
