15.7% coronavirus positivity rate in Bulgaria in past day

2,854 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours out of 18,149 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 15.7% of the tests have returned positive result. 73.4% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated.

The number of active cases decreased with 6,221 to 223,714. The number of Covid-19 hospitalizations fell to 4,542, as 530 are in intensive care units. 398 patients have been admitted to hospital in the past day. 85.4% were not immunized

59 people with established coronavirus infection have died. 48 of them were not vaccinated. 9,016 have been reported cured.  

4,641 vaccines were administered on Thursday. 2,042,630 is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle.
