The Commander-in-Chief of the NATO Land Forces visits Bulgaria

Amidst the war in Ukraine, the commander of NATO's Land Command, Lieutenant General Roger L. Cloutier arrived in Bulgaria. He met with Bulgaria's Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov. The two discussed strengthening NATO's defence potential.

The guest welcomed the Bulgarian decision to build an Alliance battle group with the participation of allies from the military. "The timeliness of the decision in accordance with the establishment of combat groups in other Eastern European countries was emphasized," the Bulgarian defence ministry announced.

Cloutier inspected the condition of Bulgarian military units, training grounds and military equipment.
