The price of electricity for household consumers is not expected to rise after the end of the moratorium on electricity, heating and water prices, Minister of Energy Alexander Nikolov said in an interview for bTV.

In Minister Nikolov's words, the state will not provide businesses with support in connection with the price of natural gas, because it is cheaper as compared to other European countries.

“Bulgaria is the only EU country that manages its own gas storage facility which makes price of natural gas for businesses competitive enough”, said Alexander Nikolov. “Consumption of natural gas in Bulgaria is not that high and electricity production does not depend on natural gas”, Minister Nikolov said.
