Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky has held talks with Premier Petkov

Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky held a conversation with the President of Poland Andrzej Duda and Bulgaria’s Premier Kiril Petkov, the Embassy of Ukraine in Sofia announced. “The focus of the talks was the course of Ukraine’s defense and the crimes of the Russian aggressor. We appreciate the assistance provided and the support of the European Union for Ukraine’s integration”, President Zelensky wrote on Twitter.

 Ukraine and Russia are holding a new round of talks today. The talks are taking place via video conference.  Ukraine will try to arrange direct talks between the presidents of the two countries, which can help end this war, said President Zelensky. On Monday, the European Union will approve fresh sanctions against Russia, agreed at the informal European Council meeting in Versailles, the French Presidency of the Council of the EU announced.

On the 19th day of the war in Ukraine, Russia continues missile attacks on the territory of Ukraine. Ramzan Kadyrov, the leader of Russia’s Chechnya region, said on Sunday that he had travelled into Ukraine to meet Chechen troops. He has issued an ultimatum to the defenders of Mariupol to surrender by the evening of March 14.
