The annual inflation rate in Bulgaria accelerated for the 12th consecutive month to 10% in February, from 9.1% in the previous month, data of the National Statistical Institute indicate. On a monthly basis, consumer prices increased with 1.4%, amid soaring prices of food and transport.

As for the price of sunflower oil, more than 350 inspections were caried out in retail establishments within 3 or 4 days”, Dimitar Margaritov, Chairman of the Consumer Protection Commission, said for the BNR.
