Bulgaria reports 2,393 new cases of Covid-19 out of 18,262 tests performed

2,393 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours out of 18,262 tests performed, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. More than 70% of the new cases are among the unvaccinated. 13.1% of the tests have returned positive results.

The number of active cases decreased with 901 to 195,420.

248 patients have been admitted to hospitals in the past day. More than 80% of them were not immunized. The number of Covid-19 hospitalizations decreased with 243 to 2,349. 288 Covid-19 patients are in intensive care units.

34 people with established coronavirus infection have died in the past day. 31 of them were not inoculated against Covid-19. 3,260 people have been reported cured.

2,327 vaccine doses were administered on Tuesday. 2,054,562 is the number of people with a completed immunization cycle. 705,600 have had a booster shot.
