In his view, an alternative to Russian oil can be found much earlier. "We are in intensive talks with the Swiss owner of the oil refinery in Bulgaria which is ready to change oil supplies. Bulgaria will reduce its dependence on Russian natural gas by 50% when the gas interconnector with Greece is completed", Borislav Sandov added. "Bulgaria has nuclear fuel for another 12 to 18 months.
