Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev and his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda have discussed over the phone the threats the Ukraine war poses to Eastern Europe.

Two million people fleeing the war have already sought refuge in Poland. Tens of thousands of Ukrainians are in Poland’s neighboring countries. That is why the Eastern European countries are expecting timely support from the international community, in order to provide the refugees with shelter, food, medicines and education, Presidents Radev and Duda agreed during the talks.

Bulgaria’s head of state Radev has invited President Andrzej Duda to visit Sofia in the coming days, to boost defense cooperation and further enhance high-level dialogue in areas of mutual interest.
