Fugitive businessman Vassil Bojkov, who is hiding out in Dubai after being charged on 18 counts in Bulgaria, alleges that the arrests of high-ranking individuals from the opposition GERB party took place after he gave testimony to the European Public Prosecutor’s Office, 24 Chasa newspaper writes.
On Facebook, Bojkov wrote: “For 2 years (prosecutor general) Geshev did everything he could to get his cronies off the hook, after I provided hard evidence of the biggest extortion in the history of Bulgaria.
