According to the prosecution and the Ministry of Interior, it has become clear that Prime Minister Kiril Petkov is a witness in the investigation launched against former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. The case has been launched over extortion. It has not been announced who the blackmailed person was, but Deputy Prime Minister Assen Vassilev has already said that this was Vasil Bozhkov, who is in Dubai.
It would be known later whether Borissov, former minister Goranov and Sevdelina Arnaudova would be charged and released or their detention would be extended.
