Prime Minister Kiril Petkov discussed corruption in Bulgaria with US President Joe Biden, the Bulgarian Prime Minister writes on Facebook. The talks focused on the TurkStream gas pipeline. “Three billion of our money spent on someone else’s pipe!” Kiril Petkov writes, and adds: “Corruption is one of Putin’s instruments of influence in Bulgaria.”

In Brussels, Kiril Petkov also met with his counterpart from North Macedonia Dimitar Kovačevski. The two expressed their satisfaction with the dynamics of bilateral cooperation attained by the working groups, including via the agreements and cooperation memoranda signed.

Bulgaria’s PM also had a meeting with Romania’s President Klaus Iohannis, with a focus on infrastructure and transport projects for improving connectivity between the neighbouring countries.
