Bulgaria reports 1,333 new daily coronavirus cases, a positivity rate of 9%

1,333 is the number of new Covid-19 cases out of14,197 tests performed in the country in the past day, a positivity rate of 9%, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. 67% of the new infections are among the unvaccinated.

The highest number of new infections has been registered in Sofia - 382, in Plovdiv – 92, and in Varna – 88. 

2,020 patients are being treated in hospital, 235 of them in intensive care units. 82% of the 212 new hospital admissions are among the unvaccinated.

29 patients have died, 83% of them were not vaccinated, 2,133 are reported as recovered.

189,204 is the number of active Covid-19 cases in the country.

1,946 doses of vaccine against coronavirus have been administered in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours. 2,149,167is the number of people with a completed vaccination cycle in the country,717,769have taken a booster dose.
