A big charity concert entitled “Solidarity with Ukraine. We stand with you!” is taking place at 4 PM today in St. Alexander of Battenberg square in Sofia. The stage for the concert will be built on the spot where the mausoleum of communist leader Georgi Dimitrov once stood.
The man behind this idea is rock musician Vasko the Patch - the musician who played at the first democratic rallies in this country – and he will be joined by a host of Bulgarian rock musicians, writers, actors and intellectuals who will express their position through the power of art. Two Ukrainian musicians are also expected to play in the square in the centre of Sofia – saxophone player Yaroslav Kmitko and guitarist Pavlo.
There will be contribution boxes for the Ukrainian refugees on location. Donations can also be made by bank transfer:
