61,000 Ukrainian refugees remain in Bulgaria

The government is developing a plan of action if 200,000 citizens of Ukraine enter Bulgaria, the new head of the Agency for Refugees Mariana Tosheva said.

According to UN High Commissioner for Refugees data, a second wave of refugees is to be expected. More than 133,500 Ukrainians have entered this country since the beginning of the war, and less than half of them have remained. The number of Ukrainian citizens on Bulgarian territory currently stands at 61,196, data of the portal #BGforUkraine show. 27,325 of them have already registered for temporary protection. With every passing day the number of job openings on offer increases, Mariana Tosheva said further.
