In a parliamentary declaration, the co-ruling Democratic Bulgaria formation has demanded that Russian Ambassador to Bulgaria Eleonora Mitrofanova be declared a persona non grata. MP Antoaneta Tsoneva said that Democratic Bulgaria insists that Bulgaria should support, via forensic expertise, the investigations into Russian actions in the Kyiv suburb of Bucha.

As an EU member, Bulgaria must support new, tougher EU sanctions against Russia, Democratic Bulgaria members states, again calling for Bulgaria to provide weapons and ammunition to Ukraine.
