The European Commission gives green light to Bulgaria’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan. This is an exceptional plan, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said at a joint press conference with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in Sofia.
Almost 60% of the plan supports the green transition. This is important because we need Bulgaria to be with us on the road to climate neutrality, Ursula von der Leyen said. According to her, the Bulgarian plan meets serious requirements, combines reforms and tackling structural challenges, supports the most vulnerable groups and includes broad anti-corruption measures.
