Prosecutor's office urged Regional Minister to ensure road safety

The Prosecutor's Office urged the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Grozdan Karadjov to take measures for ensuring road traffic safety in Bulgaria.

A serious crash on the Struma motorway, in which citizens of North Macedonia died, was followed by an inspection which found many shortcomings and inconsistencies in the management of road infrastructure.

The organization of traffic on the first-class roads is extremely poor, and few of the road signs and markings are placed according to the rules, State Agency for Road Safety has found.
