Against the background of the unprovoked war in Ukraine, we learn that Bulgaria is a very strong NATO ally. We continue to work together on many topics related to our common security, the United States Ambassador to Bulgaria Herro Mustafa said in an interview for Trud newspaper.

We have been working together for the modernization of Bulgaria’s armed forces in recent years- building defense capacity, strengthening the capability of the Bulgarian navy, etc.

I am honored to announce that the first Bulgarian F-16 pilot has successfully completed the training course in the USA, Ambassador Mustafa added. Bulgaria is free to decide on the aid for Ukraine, Ambassador Herro Mustafa further said.
