Black Sea waters to be subject to regular monitoring and sampling because of the war in Ukraine

The competent institutions will carry out weekly monitoring and collect Black Sea water samples more frequently, in order to detect possible contamination as a result of the war in Ukraine.

In this regard, the district administrations of Varna and Burgas will update their contingency plans, Bulgaria’s Minister of Environment and Water Borislav Sandov announced after a working meeting with representatives of the District Administration-Varna, Daniela Stoynova from BNR-Varna informed.
