Bulgarian society has changed its attitude towards Russia: survey

46% of Bulgarians follow in detail every day the news about Ukraine, the reactions of the world and the fate of refugees. 38% say they are interested in the topic, 16% are not interested, the results of a survey by Alpha Research show.

25% of respondents trust Russian President Vladimir Putin. Since the start of the war, the number of supporters has dropped from one third to one fourth of respondents. 61% of Bulgarians do not trust the Russian leader.

Another significant change in Bulgarian society is the rejection of Russia as a model for state and political development. 63% of respondents are of the opinion that Bulgaria's place in the changing world is in alliance with the EU and NATO. 15% support the thesis that Bulgaria's place is in an alliance with Russia.
