The Bulgarian Army could soon acquire 150 "Patria" armored combat vehicles after the government approved a memorandum between Bulgaria and Finland on April 21st. The document was proposed 2 years ago by Helsinki, but the procedure was delayed due to the change of different governments in Sofia.
According to the daily newspaper "24 Chasa" the in-house contract will go to the Bulgarian plants "TEREM" without a competition. The approval of the order was requested by Dragomir Zakov, the new Minister of Defense in PM Kiril Petkov's cabinet.
