Kozloduy NPP Unit V shut down for planned repairs

Unit 5 of Kozloduy Nuclear Power Plant will be shut down today for an annual scheduled maintenance. The works will last until the end of May. 
The disconnection of the unit's turbine generator from the country's electricity system is coordinated with the Electricity System Operator. 
Regular and routine maintenance of the unit's equipment and systems will be carried out, as well as specialized tests, inspections and checks. The unit's reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the upcoming fuel campaign.
