Sofia-Istanbul international train resumes operation

As of today, April 25, the operation of the international train travelling between Sofia and Halkali (Istanbul) will be resumed. The railway line restarts operation after the management of the Bulgarian State Railways (BDZ) and the Turkish railways (TCDD) agreed that the train should start operation again before the start of the summer season.

As of April 25, the international train from Halkali (Istanbul) will depart on schedule at 21:40 pm and will arrive at Sofia Central Station at 09:35 am the next day. 

From Sofia to Istanbul, the train will depart on schedule at 18:30 pm and will reach its final destination Halkali (Istanbul) at 05:34 am.

The composition includes sleeping cars and sitting cars, and as of June 2, for the summer season, a direct carriage from Bucharest and Halkali (Istanbul) is also planned.
