Sofia-Skopje and Sofia-Tirana flights suspended

Bulgaria's Gullivair has closed reservations for its service from Sofia to Skopje from May 21 with tickets no longer available for purchase, reports the specialized website exyuaviation.com.

The route was inaugurated four weeks ago at a ceremony following diplomatic efforts and it was announced that there would be flights twice a week - on Saturdays and Mondays.

It is unclear if flights are permanently suspended, as the airline declined to comment. The carrier has also closed bookings for flights to Tirana operated by ATR72-600 propeller aircraft since 14 May.

According to Macedonian media, the aircrafts were flying with 7-8 passengers, and there have been instances when there were fewer passengers on board than crew.
