National Festival of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria starts on May 6

On May 6, St. George's Day, at 11.00 am near the Peter and Paul Monastery in the region of Veliko Tarnovo, the 10th National Festival of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria starts. The beginning will be set by the mummers from the village of Kalugerovo, Pazardzhik region, whose ritual dance will drive away evil forces. Later, visitors will hear the performance of the famous folklore orchestra "101 Kaba Gaidi" from Smolyan, website agri.bg reports.

The program from May 6 to 8 includes exhibitions of animals, attractive competitions and more. Plenty of farm products will also be offered.
