An Extraordinary Expert Council of the ruling coalition has been convened for tonight by Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Assen Vassilev. This was confirmed to BNR by sources from the ruling coalition.

The Council will discuss the National Plan for the introduction of the euro and the cabinet's anti-crisis measures.

The National Plan was on the agenda of the last meeting of the Council of Ministers, but was dropped after a strong objection from the chairman of the Budget Committee Lyubomir Karimanski, as there had been no discussion in parliament and among the coalition partners.

Karimanski pointed out that according to the coalition agreement, the adoption of such a plan should take place after a public discussion.
