High school students failing to realize the benefits of studying Maths and Bulgarian language

High school students in Bulgaria do not consider mathematics, Bulgarian language and literature and physics to be of practical use, but they find geography and foreign languages important and useful.
This is according to the results of a Ministry of Education and Science survey among students. The survey was organised in connection with a revision of the curricula from 1st to 10th grade.
Mathematics was identified as the most difficult subject, followed by physics, chemistry, history and geography. 5 200 pupils took part in the survey on a free-will basis and anonymously.
