Bulgaria will receive liquefied natural gas from the United States in June. The country will receive gas at lower prices and without the help of intermediaries, Premier Kiril Petkov noted after he returned to Bulgaria from his visit to the United States. In his words, Bulgaria will receive two shiploads of LNG in June.

The liquefied natural gas will reach Bulgaria’s gas transmission system from Greece or Turkey, Premier Petkov added. In the coming days, the contracts for the first two shiploads will be signed. “The price of gas from the first two ships will be slightly lower than Gazprom’s, but I hope that the price margin will be a double-digit percentage in the long-term contract”, Premier Petkov noted.
