The co-ruling coalition "Democratic Bulgaria" has demanded "deputinization" of the state. The party's co-chairman, Hristo Ivanov, said they would remain in power if the coalition government agreement is changed, because it is not relevant after the start of the war in Ukraine.

Ivanov demanded an increase in the capacity of the security services and counteraction to all forms of Russian hybrid influencе and loyalty check of the employees in the services. He called for a decisive modernization of the Bulgarian army and the allocation of 2% of the country's GDP for defence, the adoption of a program to maintain NATO's multinational force in the country and achieving zero dependence on Russian energy sources.
