The ITN parliamentary group announced it would initiate the formation of a working group, with the participation of all formations represented in parliament, to draft amendments to the Direct Citizen Participation Act. Stanislav Balabanov from ITN, who is chair of the Committee on Direct Participation of Citizens and Interaction with Civil Society, stated that it was thanks to the referendum held in 2016, initiated by Slavi’s Show, that ITN was set up as a political force representing a not insignificant number of Bulgarians.
