As of June 1, the phase of integration of Ukrainian refugees begins, the Chairperson of the State Agency for Refugees Mariana Tosheva said for the BNR. By May 31, the hotels must be vacated and the Ukrainian refugees must be relocated to municipal accommodation facilities. No one will be left out on the street. "Some Ukrainians want to leave the country, others are renting homes or going to stay with their relatives," Mariana Tosheva said. In her words, more than half of the 63,000 Ukrainians accommodated in hotels are not expected to stay in Bulgaria.

In the past week, the number of people leaving the country has exceeded the number of arrivals, Mariana Tosheva noted. According to a survey, 70% of Ukrainians want to start work immediately, and 17% are ready to do so later, after 1 to 6 months.
