Sofia hosts a conference on occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Institute for Bulgarian Language

The current state of the Bulgarian language, its achievements and its place in European linguistics are the focus of the International Jubilee Conference of the Institute for Bulgarian Language Professor Lyubomir Andreychin. Polish, Russian, Ukrainian, Romanian and Slovenian guests are to present reports on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the institute.

Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Yotova congratulated the Institute for Bulgarian Language. She announced two initiatives that will be held under the auspices of the Presidency. In June, the University of Plovdiv will host a conference on teaching Bulgarian abroad. A meeting on Cyrillic alphabet will be held in the autumn.
